Laser Away at Home

Brittany > Beauty > Laser Away at Home

Summer is upon us which means short skirts and bikinis. For a completely hairless look I started using an at home laser. I ended up with this particular laser which retails for about $175.  I was a little worried that this laser would not be compatible with my tanned skin, but it actually worked out nicely.

You can adjust the strength of the laser. I use the highest strength (which is three green squares). The laser is ready to use when you see the sides light up green.

Just place the laser against your skin and push the button. It doesn’t hurt, it just feels like a rubber band against the skin.

A few pointers

  1. I usually laser every 2-3 weeks
  2. Do NOT wax or epilate when you laser. In order for the laser to work the hair has to be in the follicle.
  3. DO NOT put lotion or any other creams on the area you want to laser. You must have clean skin.

So while I like the results of this laser, I will say it was very time consuming to do this on my legs. I think it took about 1 to 1.5 hours to do both legs.

With that said, these at home lasers are nice, easy to use, and money savers. I will be looking out for Groupons in my area though for professional laser hair removal on my legs. While the hair there is finer and I can go 2-3 days without shaving, I think I want to see if I can get a completely hairless look!

I had no idea you can do lasers at home! Does it hurt? I would love to try this out I hate shaving every week. Love your blog btw will be visiting again!!

It hurts at first especially if you use the highest setting. I will say I am used to the higher setting. Also if your hair grows really course and thick (like mine) it hurts at first. But now I’m used to it!

I’m so old school when it comes to hair removal.
I still use the good old razor 😂😁
I need to step up my game ☝️

wow! i have no idea that this little machine exited, really convenience!

This is pretty cool. I always thought laser hair removal hurts. I’ve been using an epilator for ~5 years and that baby still hurts. Hahaha I have to take a deep breath before I use it. Might consider giving this a try.

Yes girl. I used to epilate. Honestly epilating hurt more than lasering!

I’ve always wanted to try laser hair removal. I love that I can do this myself at home! Do you know if it works well on underarm hair as well?

xo, Jo

Yes it works. But the skin is thinner so it hurts a little bit more!

Thank you for the info! Love the photos!
